The RSK took note of the AST (Committee on PLANT AND SYSTEMS ENGINEERING) status report on current findings on the earthquake hazard (Aktuelle Erkenntnisse zur Erdbebengefährdung). The BMU informed the RSK about the concept for maintaining specialist knowledge and qualified staff in the future (Konzept zum perspektivischen Erhalt von Fachwissen und -personal). The RSK determined the voting for the 73rd of the KTA on 12.11.2019 and discussed and adopted the following recommendations:

Assessing the effectiveness of measures to prevent recurrence of events (Bewertung der Wirksamkeit von Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung der Wiederholung von Ereignissen),
Ageing management - Status of implementation and common practice regarding the requirements for ageing management according to KTA 1403 for electrical and I&C components (Alterungsmanagement – Umsetzungsstand und geübte Praxis zu den Anforderungen zum Alterungsmanagement gemäß KTA 1403 für elektro- und leittechnische Komponenten),
Results of the ENSREG Topical Peer Review on ageing management – Requirement of examining the RPV base material (Ergebnisse des ENSREG Topical Peer Review zum Alterungsmanagement – Anforderung zur Prüfung des RDB-Grundwerkstoffes), and
Steam generator tube degradation due to stress corrosion cracking – Measures to ensure steam generator tube integrity (Schäden an Dampferzeuger(DE)-Heizrohren durch Spannungsrisskorrosion – Maßnahmen zur Sicherstellung der Integrität der Heizrohre) (see also note on the 510th RSK meeting)
